Bratulich visit

The day before departing for Miami for 3 months Keith, Heather and Alex came to Mankato so the boys could play X-Box one final time together and Heather and I took the girls to see the "Princess and the Frog". Neither Beth nor Alex had seen a movie in the theater before and they were VERY excited. They did well, we all came back to our house enjoyed dinner and some drinks the Jim and Heather got in more video game playing while we discussed the state of politics and the up coming health care debate. Early Sun am the Bratulich family departed for Miami.

Biliie's b-day 2010

We went along to help "auntie" Billie celebrate her birthday this year at Mexican Village. The girls enjoyed a fruity slushy drink as well as chasing eachother through the restaurant and by the wishing well.

Hangin' with G&G

Beth spent New Years with G&G Hodgkins in Rochester this year, while there she founds grandma's Christmas hat and had a riot playing with it and wearing it different ways.

Beth's bedroom makeover

Jim decided to undertake a huge makeover of Beth's bedroom in the month of Dec. We moved Beth into what was the office and moved the office into her former bedroom. Beth had requested pink walls.....after much discussion the decision was made to paint the walls primarily yellow with pink accents within the bedroom and closet, princess and fairy stickers were placed on the walls, a "big girl" bed was moved in including all new bedding and Beth spent her first night in her new room sans a nightlight. She very much is enjoying the move, grandma found some super cute curtains and once the closet shelving is replaced the move will be complete (at least in her room...the office may take some time).

Stages Theater Dec 2009

Beth went to her first platy at the Hopkins Stages Theater on Dec 27th with her friend Alex, who was home from Dominica with her parents Keith and Heather. We all met at the Big 10 Restaurant and enjoyed lunch and a chance to catch up before walking across the street to see "Twas the Night Before Christmas". The play was good and Beth seemed to maintain interested (a good thing as any parent of a 4y/o can attest. It was good seeing the Bratulich family again too since the girls hadn't seen each other since March 2009.

Family Christmas 2009

Finally on Sat the 26th grandma and grandpa along with uncle Tony, auntie Christine and Yori (Tony and Chritstine's dog) were able to make it to Mankato for Christmas with Megan, Alex, Beth mom and dad. There was plenty of laughter, LOTS of presents and food food and more food. With the snow still coming down in the evening the decision was made for a sleep over and G&G and Tony and Christine all spent the night. We stayed up way to late chatting and playing cribbage but all was good in the end!

Christmas morning 2009

Christmas morning found the 3 of us and the huskies thanks to the snowing and blowing that mother nature provided. It was a quiet jammy day in our house with Beth playing with all the presents she got the night before and in the morning from Santa. The huskies enjoyed some time inside with their people as well.
