Christmas morning 2009

Christmas morning found the 3 of us and the huskies thanks to the snowing and blowing that mother nature provided. It was a quiet jammy day in our house with Beth playing with all the presents she got the night before and in the morning from Santa. The huskies enjoyed some time inside with their people as well.

Christmas Eve 2009

Thanks to a wonderful storm front our Christmas Eve this year was a bit quieter than usual. Megan and her boyfriend Alex were able to spend the evening with us. We enjoyed our annual tradition of fondue (Alex' first experience, seemed as though he liked it)followed by presents and desert. Beth received the customary spoiling and thanks to her big sister also received her first real make up.

Christmas 2009 w/ the Hahn's

We celebrated Christmas early this year with the Hahn family, as always there was great food, lots of laughter and antics from the girls and a relaxing time for the parents.

Thanksgiving 2009 - Arizona

We spent Thanksgiving 2009 in Tucson, AZ with my grandparents (Beth's great grandparents). Beth very much enjoyed their kitty as well as the cactus and desert scenery. We were able to go swimming daily as well as wear shorts and spend time outside. While there we spent time at the Desert Museum where Beth was able to see up close many of the desert animals and vegetation. (caution...there 253 pictures in the slide show)

"Kennel" box

Beth rediscovered the box her princess jeep came in and turned it into a "kennel" today while the Vikings/Packers game was on. She was pretending to be a dog and kept asking to be put into the "kennel". She brought her babies in as well so they were "Safe" from the T-Rex outside. Imagination I tell you.....wish we didn't loose it as adults!!

Duck Hunt with pappa

Beth thoroughly enjoyed playing "old school" Duck Hunt with pappa. She needed a bit of help with aiming but got the hang of shooting down quickly.

Pumpkin carving

Beth helped carve her first jack-o-lantern....she did well with the knife but really liked playing with the "guts" of the pumpkin and separating out the seeds so we could bake them.
